Model Building Services.

Sightline offers a full range of professional model building services, at a cost affordable by small professional offices or individual homeowners. We can produce models at any scale, representing large or small projects with detail and realism appropriate to any purpose:

Study models that evolve with the design.
Site models which accurately represent topographical and landscaping features.
Presentation models, in a style reflecting both the character of the project and the design approach of the office.
Display models, with precise and realistic representation of architectural details, colors, materials, surface treatments, landscaping, and water (from pools and fountains to bays and oceans).
Historical models, representing historical structures as they once looked, or as they might look after renovation. We specialize in the accurate reproduction (in miniature) of architectural details (including windows, doors, molding, etc.).
Miniatures for still photography, computerized photo montage, or film making.
Models built so that roof and/or walls can be removed to reveal the configuration of interior spaces, and their relationship to exterior forms. Representation of both exterior and interior can include any level of detail, down to the light switches and plumbing fixtures.

We work closely with our clients to design a model that gives visible form to their best ideas, that is appropriate to any specific purpose from conceptual analysis to public display, and that fits comfortably within any project's budget.

When we submit a bid on a job, we examine the relevant drawings (floor plans, elevations, roof plans, site plan). Then we discuss the project with the client to insure that we understand how the model is to be used, and what the client would like to see communicated in three-dimensional form. The cost of a model depends on:

its overall size, scale, and scope;
the complexity of the forms;
the level of detail required;
the use of special materials to simulate colors and textures of actual building materials.
the inclusion (at the client's request) of a wooden base and plexiglass dust cover.
